Burton End Primary Academy

Headteachers Welcome

Welcome to our website which will give you a flavour of what our school is all about.

Burton End first opened as a Community Primary School in 1968 and since then has undergone changes to cater for the full age range of children from 3 to 11. Our school has a well equipped 48 place Nursery. Burton End converted to be come an academy in November 2004 and are proud members of the Unity Schools Partnership. This has enabled close collaborative work with a number of other schools both locally and further afield. We were delighted, in 2020, to be recognised as a ‘Good’ school by OfSTED. In September 2020, we opened a hub to cater for 12 children with a range of complex needs.

We create a happy working atmosphere where every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential through an exciting, broad and balanced curriculum. We encourage children to value their contributions to the school and to celebrate their achievements.

Our school values of Kindness, Respect, Resilience and Ambition underpin the work of children and adults throughout our school. The school building is made up of spacious classrooms, a main hall, a new modern library and many small group teaching spaces. We have excellent outdoor facilities that include two playgrounds, a large sports field, multi use sports pitch, a wild life pond, fruit trees and a wooded area.

If you are interested in coming to see the school for yourself we would be delighted to show you our school and give you the opportunity to meet our staff and pupils. To book an appointment please call the school office and speak to Mrs Bartlett, Mrs Bowmer or Mrs Jobson. Should you require a paper copy of the information on the website please also contact the school.

We look forward to meeting you
